ArenaNet has announced a "stress test on Thursday, August 2 from 12:00 Noon PACIFIC Time to 4:00 PM PACIFIC Time" (Guild Wars 2 Facebook) for Guild Wars 2. The stress test will only be for 4 hours and we here at Guild Wars 2 live will be streaming the stress test live so make sure to join us then.

That said we should point out that ArenaNet on their twitter has said "Stress Tests are only available for pre-purchasers. BWE3 promo codes were good ONLY for BWE3--NOT for Stress Tests". So this means that anyone who used a promo code to access the last Beta weekend will not be able to play during this coming stress test.

Also make sure to update your client before the stress test as there has been another 10000+ patches to the client since the BWE3.
