Gung hei faat choi! I wish all our viewers happiness, wealth and good health for the new year. The 23th of this month is Chinese New Year, which also means that the Canthan New Year in Guild Wars is coming soon. This year is the year of the dragon, which means there's high promise for a celestial dragon and miniature celestial dragon from this year's event! If you're not familiar with the Canthan New Year, you should read more about it on the Guild Wars Wiki, especially about the finale. Additionally if you want to know more about why Chinese New Year is celebrated the way you see, read up on the mythology.

GuildWars2Live Hosted District

At this time the CNY (Canthan New Year) finale set for Sunday, February 5th. With much help from the Gaming World Entertainment Network (GW-EN.com), GuildWars2Live will be hosting the finale at Shing Jea Monastery, Traditional Chinese district 4. All the districts above D4 will also be hosted by GW-EN for the entire day. We will be completing all the chef's dishes around the clock, so that everyone can receive the maximum amount of rewards!

In addition to the finale which happens every year, we will have a member of our staff assigned as the Lunar Collector every hour that the Celestial Being is not present. The collector will be asking for a specific in-game item in return for a set of goodies! The prize you receive will be much nicer than what you would normally get from NPCs. If you happen to be the lucky N-th trader of the hour, then the prize will be significantly larger!

Note: We will provide a schedule of our staff & helpers present in the district, as well as Lunar Collector information here when the day comes.

We'll be at the event from start to end, for 24 hours, so be sure to drop by!

GW-EN.com On-Air Prizes

The Gaming World Entertainment Network will also be giving out awesome prizes throughout the day and providing music to party all day long! Be sure to tune to their radio stream!
