Promote Yourself On GW2Live Next Beta
We're looking forward to covering another awesome Beta Weekend Event in Guild Wars 2. Once again we're calling for guilds and fellow fan sites who would like to stream with us! Help us fill the schedule for the weekend around the clock, while promoting yourself!
We are also doing another sweepstakes to promote everyone's show and give viewers more to do while watching.
During the last beta weekend, we had on average over 400 viewers at all times. We have everyone to thank for tuning in and supporting the fun that we have here. It was a huge morale boost to our team and to the participating guilds. We want to repeat this success and with everyone's help break new records again.
Please read the sections below that apply to you and make a note of the minimum requirements to stream with us at the bottom. With this announcement we are not implying we know when the next Guild Wars 2 beta weekend is. When applying to stream with us, please provide a date and time only if your personal weekend schedule is persistent, otherwise just state that you are interested.
Apply ASAP. As we discovered last time, our schedule fills up very fast!
Fan Site Shows
This time around we also want to invite fellow Guild Wars 2 fan sites to stream with us. Our friends especially fall into this category and we would love to have you on our programming. Please tweet at GuildWars2Live, tweet at Peter or write to peter@guildwars2live.com if you are interested.
We will give fan site friends priority when it comes to choosing a time slot and 1 to 2 hours on our schedule.
Guild Hour
We had several awesome guilds last Beta Weekend working closely with us to put on an awesome show. It was quite an international selection of guilds! All the teams that applied got in and our viewers quite enjoyed watching.
Guild Hour isn't about spamming the audience with your website's URL, it is about showing others how your guild likes to have fun. If your team has good synergy, then you don't even need a website to get people interested. If you are not looking for recruitment, then sharing your guild activities with a live audience is also a nice morale boost to all of your guildmates!
GuildWars2Live.com is a neutral website, so with Guild Hour there are a lot of guidelines to follow. Briefly though, your guild will be allowed to play a short recruitment video, include a watermark on the stream, use a logo screen for breaks and also create a (non recruitment) promo video about your show on GuildWars2Live for us to link. Check out this perfect example by JOKERS from the first beta weekend event.
To apply please e-mail peter@guildwars2live.com. Have a representative introduce your guild (name, region, etc), then tell us what datetime your team is available for streaming, and what you plan on doing for your show! From there on out, we'll work out any questions or suggestions you have.
Special Guests
We're once again hoping to invite some special quests within the Guild Wars 2 community to appear on our stream during the beta weekend. If we somehow missed you or forgot to toss an invite your way, please do not feel ashamed to remind us that you're still alive!
Requirements
These are basic requirements that we ask of guilds and fan sites working with us. Some of these may not apply to special guests or we may make exceptions for friends of GuildWars2Live.com.
- Must have an Own3D.tv account and a licence with XSplit software.
- Must have a representative on our Teamspeak server during given time slot.
- To be accepted, provide us a link to one of your previously saved streams using Own3D.tv.
- Host your show with no more than 4 other co-hosts. (Recommend: 3)
- All speakers, especially the host, must be heard clearly (above all game sounds).
- Have a decent frame rate on the stream.
- Being able to stream in HD (720p) is a plus.
- Work with our staff to provide sweepstakes codes to the audience. (Past example)
- In return we ask that you remind the audience to follow GuildWars2Live on Twitter.
