Effective leveling?
While i greatly enjoyed playing in the stress test, thar was actually one thing that did stress me out xD. Leveling. I was level 6 human necromancer having to do level 9 and 10 content and it was extremely difficult seening they could 1 or 2 shot me at times. I started new and got to level 11, halfway to 12. How is it that some are level 30+ I even heard some players are 40 from just a beta weekend. Now i understand that 6 or 7 hours of game time is not as much as 3 days but thar has to be a more effective way to level. I even tried grinding mobs but the exp is so low from them and i have done nearly all the quest cept 2, and the 2 quest im missing is for level 15's or so.
I haven't skipped a single thing in Queensdale, skill points, and the <3 quest, and even some of the collecting ive done, hell i even explored all Queensdale minus the Salma district or any other instance since the game would freeze at 95 percent. I heard some people just went exploring in charr lands and such.
So my question is what is the most effective way to power level in GW2?

Do all the Tasks and Events you run into, gather every node (plant, vein, tree etc) you come across and remember that it doesn't matter where you go. If you feel like the content that's left in zone X is too difficult, go start questing in a different race's starting area. You get scaled down and receive XP and item rewards appropriate for your actual level. This really helps, because trying a difficult area will take more of your time. Also, make sure you finish your personal story. There isn't an awful lot of it in the Beta, but the quests you can do yield large amounts of XP.

Necroing or no, I'll add crafting here, you can get tons of xp by finding new recipes. Also, WvW events grant lots of of xp. Completing areas (Completing all the hearts and skill challenges, and finding all the waypoints and points of interest) gives a large patch of XP, money and items, too.
I take pride in my writing. Also, my legs, but that's irrelevant.
There's no need to powerlevel. If you really care about the levels, you need to do everything. Skill points, events, crafting, personal story, heart tasks ... everything. Don't skip stuff, but go out of your way to find everything. (perhaps personal story is a exception to that, some personal story quests were harder than others) Going to other low level areas helps, but you're downscaled anyway. I think the best way to level is to stay on your level content. So going to the other lands might actually level you up slower I think, if you're already lvled past it.
Re: Effective leveling?
I found that playing together with atleast one other person speeds up the lvling process aswell. I mean, the hearts are indivually filled, but when grped and playing together u can just hit all mobs hes attcking to fill it up faster than u would when playing alone.
Hope this helps.
Hope this helps.

Re: Effective leveling?
In BWE2, I did a LOT of World vs World. I managed to go from 29 to 45 in essentially 24 hours doing little else than capping and defending. If you happen to be on defense and are holding a keep, set up some arrow carts and throw it into the nearest group of people, or throw mortars, treb shots and ballista as needed. It adds up and the rewards for just keeping people out of your castle/garrison/keep/tower/supply camp can be nice. Plus you're (hopefully) having fun in the process and the time goes by pretty quick sometimes
Re: Effective leveling?
I feel that this has been the general setting for multiple people while leveling. However I feel in time, things will get worked out as players provide feedback.
