Vae Victis is lead by MMO veterans with experience dating back to Ultima Online. Our leadership team are all friends in real life, not just online acquaintances, and are dedicated to leading Vae Victis toward excellence. We are a casual-friendly, drama-free, and PvP-focused group driven to improving the skills of our members to become the best they can be. Our Charter outlines tenants which hold us accountable toward our goal of maintaining positive community standing.

We are not just just a Guild Wars 2 guild. Vae Victis is a community of friends who play a diverse array of online games together. We apologize to the forum mods for posting outside the recommended bump frequency, but this is an urgent matter that must be addressed. Earlier this week we had an unfortunate incident where some of our Members circumvented our website filter to spam homophobic slurs in our website's shoutbox. The leadership team responded to this behavior with a warning and then a temporary 24 hour ban. You can read about this issue here: http://vaevictisguil...-language-abuse

Since the expiration of this temporary ban we began monitoring the communication of the individuals involved and discovered that those who were temporarly banned were planning on leaving our guild and were attempting to recruit members for their new guild from our roster. The leadership team responded to this with an immediate and extensive permanent IP ban to all parties associated with the exodus.

It has also come to our attention that those banned will attempt to "warn" potential recruits of our guild by sabotaging this thread and our recruitment efforts. Those who have been banned have done an expert job of attempting to misdirect attention away from their bigoted actions and instead try to blame the leadership team for how we have responded. We implore any potential recruits to read our Charter and to understand that we will absolutely do everything in our power to uphold it. We are not perfect leaders, no one is, but we will never compromise our Charter out of the fear that we will lose any members.

We apologize for any drama that may result from this incident, and hope that it does not spill over into this forum. We will not respond to any communications or accusations by this exodus. We simply wish to move forward and move on from this incident. Thanks for reading.
