Reddit

Postby TheGeekasaurus » Wed Jun 06, 2012 10:02 pm

I am new to Reddit and I was wondering how it works exactly. I posted a video to it and within a few seconds I had several downvotes. I thought downvotes meant that it was not helpful to the discussion. How is a GW2 video not helpful? Is it just a trolling thing to downvote anything at random? Or are other authors trying to get their stuff higher? Reason I am asking is that my video showed up in place #8 and it got several downvotes and fell to the 3rd page.

Here is my link there: http://redd.it/up3z8

Did I list it wrong?

Any help would be appreciated.

I wish I knew! I've not really gotten into the whole reddit thing myself. And I know people downvote Peter's announcements all the time for GW2L all the time for no apparent reason. =/

Honestly.. tons of trolls on Reddit who downvote everything just because they can. :/

Also, they HATE self promotion. If you are promoting yourself or something you do it gets downvoted.
