Sign Up for Guild Wars 2 Beta

ArenaNet has just opened a sign up form to the public for a Guild Wars 2 beta test. Stop what you're doing and https://beta.guildwars2.com/.
The sign up is said to last 48 hours, which means sign ups close on Friday, February 24th, 2012 at 1 PM EST (10 AM PST).
This is a closed beta test, under a strict NDA. As we've always assumed, participants are not to make any recordings, screenshots, and must not disclose that they are a participant. [Twitter] Participants must be 18 years of age or older. Participants signing up will not be invited to the beta all at once and once accepted a participant may or may take part in all stages of this beta.
The beta sign up first requires you to download a DxDiag diagnostic tool put together by ArenaNet. The tool looks up your system specifications and then directs you to the second half of the sign-up process. The form then asks you for your name, age, country, guild information (optional: name, member count, website URL), preferred game types and lastly asks for your frequent play style (PvE, PvP or both).
Once you have signed up, you'll receive a confirmation E-mail from guildwars2.com for having signed up. Given the immense traffic to the site, it may take some time to see it in your inbox. The E-Mail should read as follows:
Thanks for signing up!
Thanks for signing up for a chance to participate in the Guild Wars 2 beta test. We've received your application and we'll email you if you've been accepted. We appreciate your interest in Guild Wars 2!
Sincerely,
The Guild Wars 2 Team
In addition to this news, the Guild Wars 2 FAQ has been updated with information about the beta test. Read the FAQ here.
Having issues?
If you have not received a confirmation E-Mail upon signing up for the beta, you can do one of two things. The first is to request the E-mail to be resent to you. We suspect that this system may later be bogged down too by the number of requests, so the other option is to run the Scannertron 5000 again (the DxDiag tool) and to fill the sign up form with the same E-Mail. If the form tells you that your E-Mail has already been registered with, then you can rest assured that your sign up was successful.
If you are having difficulty accessing the page, the first step to signing up is using a DxDiag diagnostic tool put together by ArenaNet. You may find the direct link here at cloudfront.net.
If that link doesn't help you, which we highly doubt, you may also download an unofficial copy from us here (last updated: 1 PM EST - Feb 22, 2012). Though this is not recommend.
