Hello here is the replys I sent to Leaking Blood
I share it here for discussion purpose

if it can help to spark ideas...

Hé cool you got everything
Concerning the quality, I was lucky
Really stable on my chair, and a nice light from the sun…
But after hours of recording, it will be different
I intend to purchase a microsd card for my smartphone to extend his memory capacity (to 26 GB available I hope)

I am really someone who like to plan
I presume you are (at GW2Live) more addict than me so as me you want to achieve something nice from Gamescom to report to the community.
I dont have internet home yet, and I am at work all day long
But if you it could be nice to speak on skype sometime next month

So I would like to present some ideas or working methodes
(yep I am a methodic planner ;-)
Take anything you think can be usefull

The materials :
Beside the material, list the memory capacity, and memory length take also into account what material can have a tripod
Personnaly if a really good hd cam misses a tripod, I dont mind to participate to buy for someone a tripod (like 10 € each).

The methode :
People from GW2Live should always be waiting in binome (2 persons) to play the game.
So the second can record the first and then the opposite.
It is better to record with a purpose than someone random showing the same thing with no details…

A list :
The crucial point is to plan in advance everything you want to record, make a list and keep track of what is done…

Like :
Object / person playing / person recording / material / memory
Norn ingenieur / Leaking Blood / Shun Sui / Samsung galaxy / internal
Lion’s Arch … …
The ranger pets
Interview 1
Presentation Saturday
Presentation Sunday

So this is an exemple of a sheet you can prepare :
The list of the objects = the content you want to record
Even if we dont know the demo yet, you can prepare :
Like every profession has to be recorded, some aspects like the norn starter area or the human main city were hardly covered and can be listed for recording

On the column « memory », it is in case if you have several memory card to keep track where the files are…
Of course, the list can be extend on the spot with unannonced demo content. So prepare some empty sheet.

The content :
Personnaly, if you have a team, dedicated, prepared i think you can record everything you want to.
But, I think we should go into details, complete and different than the others (average people, journalist that record and report about GW2)

So the list of content :
Every skills, utility skills traits from every weapon,… from every professions
(like Maelchior did with the Kaden’s guardian)
BUT we should also show visually the effect not only the text description from what I just listed.

A combination of profession / race not frequently seen :
Warrior human
Ranger charr
The ingenieur of coursee in full depth
Elementalist charr or norn (the new skills)
Necromancer charr or norn (the new death shroud)
The last profession let’s hope ?

Some inter profession combo (nobody has shown that)

The different pets of the ranger (I know it will change) : all of them in 1 video, their skills

Some unseen areas : more about the norn starter area, lion’s Arch, the human main city…

More about the craft

The interview, presentations…

Anything new in the demo (WvW, pvp, dungeon, the sylvari...)

Streaming :
Prepare a way to give back all the files. Will we stream directly ? or should we send by post a dvd with all the files ?

Conclusion :
I know you have way more experience than me, you know how to do it but if just one thing of what I just said can help you, it is cool.

Ask around what people want to see...

Feel free to tell me what you think, how is your preparation…

See you soon

I'm happy to hear your great enthusiasm SunSui!

Some things go without being said and some other details can only be worked out on the spot. We're all excited to see ArenaNet at Gamescom, but I'm sure some members will want to check out other games as well. We are GW2Live, but each person is doing this out of their own pocket money. Each individual has their own agenda, so I suggest it is best to approach this in a relaxed manner. If the level of commitment you want is not matched by another member, you will have to improvise. In fact, improvisation will be required more often than not.

Our team and its individuals have an idea of what kind of footage fans would like to see more of. We will definitely make some lists of sorts, but its best to satisfy your own wishes first. At this time, I personally I have no desire to discover as much details of the GW2 world as I can. The finer details are bound to change a lot. I would preferably want to spend more time focusing on a small story part and thoroughly participating in some dynamic events. I believe doing this would be more noteworthy to our audience in the long run. The game will one day be available to everyone, therefore I don't feel the need to spoil as much as I can.

Without a doubt, the audience can look forward to glancing over all the skills for each weapon set with whatever profession each team member wants to try. By not spamming the skill bar, viewers will be able to tell apart each skill's animation and effect without delaying the flow of natural gameplay. Other than that, I'm sure there will be lots of time to investigate specific details as it catches each team member's attention.

I totally understand, and agree

I can be sometimes really excited about GW2

the philosophy of my proposal was to say that I was motivated to help to record some nice videos at gamescom

I think what will be enough is to have general goals of what we want,
what we already recorded,...
try to record each other...
and find a way to put it on the website

ofc they is something else besides GW2 at Gamescom: the babes...

A brief update and bit more information about myself :p

I'm a new member here so not surprised people are a bit skeptical if I should tag a long with you fokes or not but maybe if you got to know me a bit better I could change that :)

OK then, my name is Tolga and I'm 21 years of age living in the outskirts of Rotterdam, The Netherlands.

Ever since I first laid my eyes on counter strike I became a huge fan of gaming and have been putting a whole lot of my time being part playing the game, being part of communities and researching endless amounts of demo's to improve my own play. I believe that dedicating yourself to something can make one rise up above others.

Few years later my cousin, who also was a huge games fan just like me introduced me to Guild Wars which really didn't attract me even one bit when I heard all the details, I was very skeptical about MMO games because I had seen great CS players disappear to play games like WoW which made me hate the genre at first.

But when GW released I did eventually try out the game after lots of lobbying from my cousin and friends and to my own surprise I got hooked on it, slowly I started to vanish from the FPS scene aswell to make my entrance to this new and amazing world of MMO's that GW introduced me to.

It had everything I looked for, a competitive scene, fun PvP and monks! Infact I had so much fun playing a monk that in all the following MMO's I have played I never played anything other then a healer class just to try and get that amazing feel I got from playing a monk. Nothing beats saving someone from certain death after an well timed infuse or throwing off that spirit bond just in time. I bet all colleague monks know what I'm talking about :P

As time passed by so did my GW carreer as my friends started to vanish. As awesome I might have found GW it is still a team game and I didn't feel like starting from scratch with a new gang of friends (this was few weeks after EoTN release) so I took a break after thousands of hours worth of gameplay.

What I did next was a lot less important; Age of Conan (bad), Warhammer: online (kinda ok, had fun), Aion (endless pve grind). So none of the following games gave me what I felt in Guild Wars. The one thing that did give me the feeling was watching the videos you guys brought to all the excited fans of Arenanet's amazing new game. I haven't been this excited about a new game since ever... And I would want nothing more but to be at gamescom in August except that I don't have anyone to go with since my real life friends are not MMO gamers like me anymore and my cousins quit gaming in general.

I have been visiting the shoutbox frequently ever since I discovered about it, not much later I signed up to the forums and found out you guys are going gamescom. This gave me the idea that I want to go too and lot of the guys going are dutch or speak dutch(hello belgium :D). So I had the idea that maybe I could tag along with you guys there and not have to feel completely lonely :(

I can give a ride to anyone going from the Netherlands, I will also bring a HD video camera (buying one after my vacation) and I'll bring my own tent (can bring more stuff if needed, like laptop).

I will however be on holiday starting from Tuesday 28th of June until 26th of July with minimum internet access.

So let me know if I am welcome to fare with you guys and in the process try my best to help out contributing to this site.

Thanks in advance.

I contacted the camping and they wouldn't let us make reservations and could in no way guarantee that there would be a spot free for us, so we decided to look for further options.
Baka made a reservation for 5 people at a hostel (this includes Baka, Dutchdude, Zekas, Mokuren and possibly Frizz). More information is in the first post, which I've updated.

Hello,

I registered a few days ago, because i the Videos on your Youtube channel and would like to help out a bit, since I am not living not that far away from colonge. Also it could be fun to "hunt" information out of the Videos, reminds me to treasure hunting Arrrrr...

I've got a Kodak Zi8 Camcorder and a little tripod 1/4" and could help out recording or playing at least on the 18. August, not sure yet if I come on other days, but I could inform you before the convention starts.

Some additional Info, I have 2 little youtube channels relating to general gaming and Minecraft (http://youtube.com/maebbie) and a Guild Wars Channel with a trailer collection and some other random in-game Videos about Guild Wars (http://www.youtube.com/maebbieGW)
http://synchtu.be/GuildWars - got it before a namewaster did :-D
