Don Foe's build thread
need a second opinion on these builds. tell me what you think about them. if you see something i missed please point it out, and only constructive criticism. TY

When it comes to the engineer build I have some advice.
Keep in mind that due to piercing shots, you may miss out on some burning damage if no enemies are at max range.
Also, the mine kit will be gone in this upcoming beta, being changed to one mine that removes boons and pushes back. (with damage of course)
I like your combo with immobilized enemies, but I fear that glue shot doesn't last long enough to take full advantage of.
One more thought: Assuming both aren't changed like minekit, having both bomb kit and Grenade Kit is somewhat unnecessary. You can only use one at a time after all, and it's a bad idea to stop moving so that the bomb kit hits the enemy smashing your face in.
Just some thoughts, engineer is my favorite class. Although I haven't done much PvP, I Have done over 60 hours PvE, and I'm well aware of the differences.
Take it as you see fit good sir!

TYVM kind sir. i have played 0 hours of engi. im a ranger kinda guy. but i was up late one night and just started building, and thats what came out.
had no idea mine kit is being removed. as for glue shot, i was hoping to just combo it with some bombs after ive switched to that kit. like drop a glue bomb then rotate the rest, switch to grenade kit rotate those. switch to pistols, stack bleeds then glue shot, and switch back to bomb kit. all while dodge rolling and laying mines. no reason anything should be alive.

Sounds good in principle but keep in mind that the glue shot, in my opinion because the one second is just so short, is useless unless you use the trait cripples when you immobilize, which I think you have (using phone tonreply so I can't check)

sure do. i love a good CC build.

Engineer only uses one weaponset. They are like elementalists who also have one weaponset.
So you'll have to choose between rifle or pistol pistol.
You also should take another look at traits I think. I would pick swiftness on critical hit, as that's the more important thing in sPvP
than the 5% extra damage on immobilize isn't gonna help you much when facing a player who just CCs you back.
as for utility, I dunno whether having three kits that fully swap your bar is worth it. there's alot of other utilities that help you do more damage alot better.

yeah. i haven't ran that build yet. still in theory crafting stage. so i doubt it will have 3 kits. more likely only one. bomb kit. as for the weapon sets, its will be pistol pistol. for some reason that web site is buggy, makes you have the rifle for some reason. i like the idea of swiftness on crit. but with the CC im not really trying to kite the enemy. i just dont want them to run away. i want them as close to me as possible. might use net turret as a utility for the extra CC. the 5% damage is going to be used with the explosions while they are close. i CC then blow them up.

EDIT#2: The engi build worked nicely. to bad they had changed a lot of skills around on the ranger. those 2 builds are toast.
